The world’s largest potato masher was erected in Plover, WI last year. It stands an inch shy of 39 feet tall. It weighs 7,500 pounds. And the only potato big enough to give it a run for its money is probably the big potato hotel in Idaho.
If you like abnormally large objects, then you have to see the ball of twine that God built.

Last week two Wisconsin bluesmen (Reverend Meantooth and Keith Daniel’s Psycho Swamp Stomp Band) rolled into town with dark, swampy songs about death, voodoo, and the devil, plus a fascinating story about a disembodied finger.
Elmwood UFO Days
The 45th annual Elmwood UFO Days is happening next weekend, and this clip from a 1988 CBS report on the event has lived permanently in my head since the first time I saw it.
