Last week, we talked to Milwaukee horror author DJ Slater about his upcoming debut novel Legend Has It, which tells the story of a group of friends who discover the myth of the “unfinishable” haunted house is terrifyingly true. For the setting of his story, Slater chose the perfect location: The decrepit remains of the Rainbow Springs Resort in Mukwonago. Before it was torn down in 2012, Rainbow Springs was said to harbor some real ghosts of its own.
