The Christmas Samurai Slasher Flick You Don't Need to See
A samurai ghost stalks the Wisconsin woods
The spirit of an ancient samurai warrior stalks the woods of Wisconsin, hacking up hapless victims for no reason. On Christmas, no less.
Confused?
So am I.
But that’s Blood Beat, the weird low-budget 1983 Christmas horror movie about an amateur painter and her unlikely arch enemy samurai ghost that was filmed on location in the Wisconsin countryside.
And that confusion doesn’t get resolved once you’ve watched it. By the end, you’re left with more questions than than the film even thought to ask.
But that doesn’t mean it’s not worth a watch.
Unlike Fever Lake, this one is varying degrees of entertaining.
