The Oddities & Curiosities Expo in Milwaukee is happening this weekend, April 5-6, 2025. So if you’re looking for your next skull, strange antique, taxidermy piece, or other oddity, don’t miss it. My friend Matt Lombard will be there with his dark art, and my friends at Kadywumpus are usually there with a great selection of vintage occult books and other spooky things.
More Places to Buy Weird Things
My top recommendation for anyone looking for an unconventional place to shop is Forty Three Skulls in Appleton. I haven’t even been there yet, but I’ve been following them for years and will definitely stop in next time I’m in Appleton looking for exorcists and bleeding graves. And you should, too…and then tag @wisconsinfrights on Instagram so I can see the weird things you bought!
Sometimes you just need a corpse. Whether it’s for your Halloween yard display, your haunted attraction, or your horror film, Dapper Cadaver in Madison has the gore you’re looking for.
American Science & Surplus in Milwaukee is your one-stop shop for all your mad scientist needs.
Slay the Lake
Slay the Lake is happening soon at The Final Girl bar in Kenosha, bringing together 14 of the best LGBTQ+ horror authors in the area.
Spooky Comedy in a Haunted Theater
Psychic comedian Peter Antoniou is bringing his unique show to The Bend in downtown West Bend for two nights in May! The first night is psychic comedy, while the second night is a darker, spookier Supernatural Séance. I’ve already got my tickets to the séance, because I couldn’t miss that show in my favorite local haunted theater. Hope to see you there!
